Richmond Birdwing Butterfly Conservation Network
Bring back the Birdwing butterfly. Community members, conservation groups and representatives from local, state and federal agencies can become members of the Richmond Birdwing Conservation Network Inc. The RBCN is a non-profit voluntary group within the Wildlife Preservation Society of Qld.
Note also, the Education Officer and one volunteer at Mary Cairncross presented a paper at the 6th World Environmental Education Congress in Brisbane, 2011 entitled "Science, Education and Partnerships: steps towards the recovery of a flagship butterfly species" (the Richmond Birdwing Butterfly), you can read the paper here >

The Great Walk through the Blackall Range
The Blackall Range is the range on which the Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve sits. Discover the Sunshine Coast's natural beauty. Experience some of the range's most scenic areas: warm subtropical rainforest, tall open eucalypt forest and picturesque waterfalls. Everyone can enjoy the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk. Take half-day strolls or full-day walks. Stay longer to complete the total 58km walk (allow 4-6 days).
