"Hello - and welcome to our ecological education pages. Whether you are a visiting school group, a wildlife enthusiast or a local family on a day trip, our Education Centre has something for you. The centre is staffed by volunteers who are happy to provide friendly advice and information on the Reserve and Blackall Range tourist facilities. Ask our staff for fact sheets on the Reserve, its history and flora and fauna. Step back in time through our Rainforest Through Time Diorama before entering the rainforest for a relaxing walk. We are very proud of our boardwalks and viewing platforms with interpretative signs so come and find out about this special and unique rainforest remnant - the shorter track is wheelchair and stroller accessible. Our talented volunteers conduct guided walks on a regular basis, along with special events and educational talks throughout the year but make sure you book in advance to guarantee your place!

The Education Centre
Our Education Centre is staffed by volunteers and is open every day, except Christmas Day, from 9am to 5pm in the summer and 9am to 4pm in the winter, depending on volunteer availability. There is a large display of rainforest development from the early Cretaceous period to the present (see the Diorama pages for a sneak preview!).
Wildlife photographs, natural history information posters and videos on natural history subjects are displayed in the Centre and guided tours are conducted for schools and groups when guides are available. Please allow at least three working days notice for guided tours.
